How to Complete Your Restaurant Account Set Up Effectively

Almost everything that appears on your Restaurant pages is information that YOU provide in the forms during the set up and editing process. Please take your time when filling them out. It is highly recommended that you read through this online help manual BEFORE you begin. You may wish to download the help manual also, and keep it by your side for reference.

It is a good idea to type your answers out first in Microsoft Word or your favourite word processing program. This way, you can check your spelling and grammar, then copy and paste the text directly into the forms once you are happy with your answers...

!Spelling mistakes and poor grammar will give visitors the impression your Restaurant business is unprofessional. It is worth spending a few extra minutes to avoid this and get things right...

ScreenMenus have tried to make the forms user friendly and self-explanatory. If you are unsure at anytime about what to enter, refer to the help manual or click on the Info link at the bottom of the forms for further explanation and an example.

If you do make a mistake or need to change something, you can make the necessary amendments through the online Restaurant Owner Management Console after the initial set up process is complete.

The set up process is really very simple. We have tried our best to make our ScreenMenus system as easy as possible for you to use, however, please do not hesitate to contact a member of our support team should you require further assistance or have any suggestions to help us improve our service

RestaurantID

Owner ID: Please enter your OwnerID. You will find this in your welcome Email.

Password: Please enter the Password you selected when you purchased your subscription. You will find this in your welcome Email.

Restaurant Name: Please enter the name of your Restaurant. If you have more than one Restaurant, please enter the name of your main establishment.

* You may add extra Restaurants to your subscription package, once you have completed your main account setup.

Login

Login: You are required to login to your account using your OwnerID and Password. You will find these details in your welcome Email.

Select RestaurantID

Select RestaurantID : You may own more than one Restaurant and each will have its own Unique RestaurantID. The RestaurantID is what identifies your business when visitors to ScreenMenus search our database. Enter the RestaurantID of the Restaurant you wish to edit on this occasion.

Restaurant Contact

Restaurant Email : If your Restaurant has an Email address, please enter this here. If you do not have an Email address for your Restaurant you can create one with ScreenMenus as part of your subscription, for example: MyRestaurantName@screenmenus.co.uk.
If you create an Email account with ScreenMenus, you will be able to access your Email from any computer with an Internet conection.

!Please avoid using free Email accounts such as Hotmail for your Restaurant as they appear unprofessional to your visitors...

* You can opt to receive online Restaurant bookings by Email, Fax or Text Message to your mobile telephone.

Restaurant Address : Please enter the physical address of your Restaurant. You are NOT required to complete all three address lines.

Town or City : Please enter the town or city where your Restaurant is located.

County : Important ! Please enter the county where your Restaurant is located in full. E.G. Lincolnshire NOT Lincs.

! The county you enter here will determine where and how your Restaurant is found when visitors to Screenmenus search our database. It will also affect your Restaurant Marketing Strategy.

* If your Restaurant is located close to two or more counties, you may wish to consider adding these to your subscription once you have completed the initial set up process. Log into the Restaurant Management Console and select the Restaurant Details link.

Postcode : Please enter the postcode of your Restaurant.

STD : Please enter the area telephone dialing code for your Restaurant.

Telephone : Please enter the local telephone number of your Restaurant.

Fax : Please enter the local Fax number of your Restaurant, if you have one.

* You can opt to receive online Restaurant bookings by Fax, Email or Text Message to your mobile telephone.

RestaurantID Login Failure: Your RestaurantID was sent to the email address provided when you subscribed to ScreenMenus.

County

County : Important ! Please enter the county where your Restaurant is located in full. E.G. Lincolnshire NOT Lincs.

! The county you enter here will determine where and how your Restaurant is found when visitors to Screenmenus search our database. It will also affect your Restaurant Marketing Strategy.

When customers look for somewhere to eat out, they most often search for Restaurants within a 20-mile radius of where they live. Diners who register with our free ScreenMenus Diners Club can select up to three counties in their Membership package.

This allows ScreenMenus to target potential customers with precise accuracy on your behalf.

Found Your Details : We have found your email address in our database. Please enter your First Name, Mother's Maiden Name and Account Email Address once again. We will verify that ALL the information you supply matches with the information we hold and email your Account Details directly to you.
